Azure Blob Storage integration

Deliver modelled Dashworx data as files into Azure Blob Storage, ready for Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric or Power BI in a Microsoft-centred data estate.

About the Azure Blob Storage integration

Azure Blob Storage is Microsoft’s object storage service. Data is held in containers inside a storage account, and with hierarchical namespace enabled the same account becomes Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, the base layer for Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric. Access is typically governed with Microsoft Entra ID roles, managed identities or time-limited SAS tokens.

For organisations standardised on Microsoft, Blob Storage is the natural landing zone for external data. Dashworx sends modelled marketing and eCommerce tables there as files, so Data Factory pipelines or Fabric shortcuts can pick them up without anyone building connectors for Google Ads, Meta, TikTok or Shopify. Column names, currencies and channel groupings are consistent from the first file, which keeps downstream transformations simple.

Dashworx continues to serve the marketing team with dashboards, targets and alerts. Azure storage gives IT and data teams a copy they control, inside their own tenant and under their own security policies, to combine with ERP, CRM and finance data.

Send Dashworx data to Azure Blob Storage

Dashworx sends Azure Blob Storage files of modelled marketing and eCommerce data: daily performance by channel, campaign, market and product, covering spend, revenue, orders, conversions, ROAS and CPA. Lookup files for channel groupings, brands and markets come with them, and KPI targets can be delivered alongside actuals.

Many enterprise teams need external data to land inside their own Azure tenant before anything else can use it. Delivering files to a container you own lets Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric or Azure Databricks take over from there, under your access controls and retention policies, without your engineers maintaining an integration for every marketing platform the business advertises on.
